World Learning is a leading international non-profit organization and higher education institution working globally to enhance the capacity and commitment of individuals, institutions, and communities to create a more sustainable, peaceful, and just world. We are seeking a Jordanian national with an understanding of one or more of the following disciplines: education, inclusion/gender and/or economic development in Jordan to support World Learning’s business development activities on a part time basis.
Responsibilities
• Identify and arrange meetings with key stakeholders such as government officials and private sector leaders in Amman and throughout Jordan; attend meetings as necessary.
• Provide interpretation and translation, as necessary.
• Take written and comprehensive notes during meetings and share with the home office team.
• Support home office staff to identify potential candidates for local staff positions.
Requirements
• Strong understanding and connections to one or more of the following sectors in Jordan: education, inclusion/gender, or economic development.
• Preferred experience with USAID and an understanding or familiarity with USAID programming;
• Experience working in a similar capacity with international organizations preferred but not required.
• Fluency in English and Arabic required;
• Excellent oral and written communication skills;
• Proficiency in using MS Word, Excel, and Power Point; comfortable using email and Skype.
• Jordanian nationality or residency required.
