World Learning is a leading international non-profit organization advancing education, systems strengthening, and inclusive development through programming around the world. We are seeking a local consultant to provide programmatic, administrative, and logistical support for an assessment trip to the Philippines. We are seeking a consultant with knowledge and connections in the Philippines’ democracy and governance sector. Local candidates preferred.
Responsibilities
• Identify and arrange meetings with relevant governmental, non-governmental, and private sector stakeholders;
• Attend meetings as needed and take written notes to share with proposal team;
• Support logistics for meetings as needed; and,
• Provide recruitment support and gather costing and pricing information as needed.
Requirements
• Well versed and connected to the democracy and governance sector in the Philippines;
• Preferred experience with USAID and familiarity with USAID programming in the Philippines;
• Fluency in English and Filipino required;
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple concurrent initiatives all within schedule;
• Excellent oral and written communication skills;
• Proficiency in using MS Word, Excel, and Power Point; comfortable using email and Skype; and,
• Excellent organizational skills with a willingness to assume responsibilities and take initiative; ability to be a team player.
