World Learning seeks three Regional Supervising Coordinators for a School Management & Instructional Leadership Program – SWAP Educación. Duration: 1 year 4 months. Background:This program aims at providing training to 15,334 principals and vice-principals from different regions in Peru as part of the Peruvian government’s policy to specialize teacher development. The program is funded through a loan issued by the World Bank to the Peruvian government, which will include participants from public schools from pre-K through High School, Special Needs Education, Alternative Education, and Vocational-Technical Education. Duration of the program is of 80 weeks set to start on November 2, 2015 and ending March 2017.

Regional Supervising Coordinator

  • Responsible, along with the General Coordinator, for the implementation of all components of the Scope of Work relevant to the supervision the Segunda Especialidad Project and for guaranteeing the quality of oversight and other supervisory services provided by World Learning
  • Responsible, along with the General Coordinator, forthe creation and execution of the Supervision Plan to be conducted by World Learning
  • Responsible, along with the General Coordinator, for participating in the process of selecting the World Learning team staff
  • Responsible for providing support to and monitoring work conducted by supervisors
  • Attending meetings and events conducted by the Ministry of Education’s DIGC and ensure the attendance and participation by supervisors under his/her responsibility
  • Responsible for elaborating written supervision results reports to the Ministry of Education’s DIGC and to the Training Institution and participating in meetings according to set schedules.
  • Responsible for meeting informing the relevant program partners about results of supervision activities according to a set schedule.

Requirements:

  • As a minimum, an Undergraduate degree in Education, Economics, Administration, Social Sciences or Engineering
  • No less than 5 years of work experience in similar supervisory role in monitoring and evaluation, education or social projects with comparable levels of responsibility
  • No less than 3 years of experience with oversight or supervision of monitoring and evaluation for training programs
  • Fluency in both spoken and written English and Spanish
  • No criminal history or background
  • No current professional or marital ties with the Peruvian Ministry of Education nor with any current programs involved with the Peruvian Ministry of Education
