Partnership Coordinator

The Experiment in International Living

The Partnership Coordinator will work with The Experiment’s admissions team to attain enrollment targets for all of The Experiment’s summer high school programs. This person will focus on three specific areas 1) sponsored students 2) partner organizations and schools 3) enrollment for the Leadership Institute. The position reports to the Director of Admissions & Outreach and is based in Brattleboro, VT.

Primary responsibilities:

The Partnership Coordinator will work in conjunction with the Director of Admissions & Outreach to increase enrollment for Experiment programs, by coordinating enrollment of The Experiment’s sponsored students, including the Leadership Institute program. This person will implement the process for partnering with sponsor organizations and schools, including executing formal affiliation agreements, and follow up communications with partners.

The Partnership Coordinator will be the primary point person for The Experiment’s sponsoring organizations and corresponding SIT/World Learning departments (philanthropy, accounts receivable, Experiment Program/Operations, and Youth Administration), and administer scholarships. This person will also manage enrollment for broader partnerships (e.g. JP Morgan Chase’s The Fellowship Initiative-TFI) and support crossing points for other units, such as Global Development and Exchange (GDE) Youth Programs.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

· Manage a pool of sponsored students and corresponding events, school visits, parent information sessions within an assigned recruiting territory;

· Guide enrollment process for sponsored students by using the Constituent Relationship Management (CRM) tool to manage and improve the overall admissions experience of all students, parents and mentoring organization representatives;

· Manage relationships, affiliation agreements (MOUs), and communication with sponsoring organizations and sending schools. This will involve some travel: as many as 5 days per month during the 4-month recruiting cycle. In addition to improving and strengthening existing partnerships;

· Facilitate new sustainable partnerships with a goal of increasing sponsored student enrollment by one to five percent each year;

· Coordinate new sponsorship opportunities with World Learning Philanthropy by actively seeking out new funding to strengthen The Experiment’s partnership programs. Consider new partnership opportunities, such as an annual Experiment partner conference with event coordination responsibilities;

· Proactive and holistic student contact and conversion throughout the application, and pre-departure processes using the CRM database;

· Advise prospective students and applicants about admissions policies and procedures;

· Independently manage sponsored applicant pool:

· Meet goals for communicating with assigned inquiries and applicants via phone contact and email;

· Track all communications in the constituent relationship management database;

· Be able to speak knowledgeably about financial aid and scholarship opportunities;

· Electronically record all contacts in the database and submit regular recruitment reports;

· In cooperation with department staff and others, evaluate previous recruitment efforts;

· Promote diversity in all recruitment and admissions efforts;

· Pre-departure counseling: assist in the creation of pre-departure materials, disseminate information to students and parents, and assist students through the visa and other pre-departure processes;

· Serve as backup to other admissions officers. Assist with office-based conversion efforts by answering The Experiment’s 1-800 line and website chat;

· Other responsibilities as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in related field;

· A minimum of three years of recruiting, admissions, higher education experience;

· Experience in advising/counseling of student;

· Proven ability to work with diverse groups toward process improvements and changes;

· High level of comfort with technology and an interest in utilizing new technologies to increase efficiently;

· Excellent public relations, presenting, negotiating, and networking skills;

· Strong writing and communication skills;

· Willingness and ability to travel;

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Desired Qualifications:

· Master’s degree or equivalent experience in related field;

· Relationship management experience.
