World Learning seeks an Events and Logistics Coordination Specialist for an upcoming USAID-funded project. Duration: 3 years. Recruitment contingent upon successful award of the project.
Background: World Learning is developing a 3-year project that will develop, coordinate, and manage cooperation and exchanges between the US government, potential Latin American donor countries i (Brazil, Chile, Columbia, and Peru), and recipient countries in Central America including El Salvador and possibly Honduras, Nicaragua, and Guatemala. The program will use a series of assessments to evaluate where there might be areas for collaboration between donor and receiving countries and then, using assessment results, implement a series of training and other approaches to enhance collaboration. The overall goal is to build trilateral cooperation between the United States, Central American countries, and selected donor countries.
Events and Logistics Coordination Specialist Position (Full time position based in El Salvador)
The Events and Logistics Coordination Specialist Position will be responsible for logistics and coordination for all training and training-related activities under the task order.
Job Responsibilities:
· Coordinate and oversee all logistics and events for the program
· Support the Project Manager in coordinating beneficiaries’ participation in all program activities, trainings and exchanges.
· Liaise with potential training providers as needed.
· Manage 1-3 staff members including the training and development of staff on training, exchange, and event related activities.
· As it pertains to logistics, oversee the development of all training and exchange materials.
· Work with the Program Manager and other staff involved planning on the scheduling, organizing, and implementation of trainings, exchanges, and events where needed.
Required Qualifications:
· Minimum of five (5) years professional experience in logistics and event coordination.
· University degree in a relevant field of international development, including but not limited to International Affairs, Political Affairs, Economics, Finance, Business Administration, Public Administration or other related disciplines.
· Familiarity with USAID’s policies regarding participant training (in particular, ADS 253)
· Experience coordinating US government funded training or exchange programs.
· Fluency in speaking and writing in English and ability to work in Spanish with native speakers.
