World Learning seeks a Capacity Development Specialist for an upcoming USAID-funded project focused on increasing the capacity of civil society organizations (CSO). Capacity Development Specialist (Full time position)
The Capacity Development Specialist will be responsible for managing the activities related to organizational and technical capacity development for -supported Civil Society Organizations (CSOs).
Job Responsibilities:
· Work with CSOs to facilitate Organizational Capacity Assessments (OCAs), develop Capacity Development Plans (CDPs), and ensure that follow up support is delivered to CSO;
· Work through local and regional capacity development service providers to provide customized organizational and technical assistance to partner organizations;
· Monitor partner organizations’ progress in improving their capacities to better deliver their mandate;
· Work with both local and regional capacity development service providers to enhance their existing curricula and update their pedagogical approach;
· Mentor CSO partner organizations, as well as capacity development service providers;
· Mentor and support other project technical staff in facilitating OCAs and developing CDPs;
· Other responsibilities that may be assigned.
Required Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field;
· Minimum 7 years of experience in organizational capacity development, and project management;
· Proven knowledge of organizational development methodologies, specifically applicable to CSOs;
· Strong reporting and writing skills;
· English fluency; proficiency in Khmer is desirable.
